Another win is finding out through archive research is that we can request photocopies from the National Diet of Japan! I can't wait to decide what to look for because we have a limited amount of requests. Still, to be able to make an account and ask for stuff from a big library in Japan this way :blobaww: :blobaww: :blobaww:

Near the beginning of this month, I posted this in most places: https://blorbo.social/@okilies/111707650416782025 I was loathe to post it on Twitter but that's where the majority of the fandom is. Obviously it mostly "flopped." The last place I expected it to do well was on Reddit and yet people over there loved it. Made me happy to receive comments!!! Never had a Reddit post blow up like that, I stayed within the top 20 or so for two days :blobcat_cwy:

4. Bang Ippongi -- For us oldtaku, best known for her work with Antartic Press, Studio Ironcat, her reaching out to us English-speaking fans and her cosplays :annoyingdog: One of her best known works is 戦え奥さん!!不妊症ブギ (Fight, Okusan! Infertility Boogie), aside from her doujinshi about her life in fandom and pro circles.

Bang Ippongi dressed up in her classic Lum cosplay. She's laying down on her stomach against a cloudy sky set, her legs in the air. She's looking up at us coyly.

Cover to the Japanese edition of Ippongi's work called Fight, Okusan! Infertility Boogie. As you may expect, it deals with the creator's struggle with infertility, and how she and her husband came to terms with it.

I can't translate the title but I do believe it is reference to manga creators and their friendly rivalry. Don't quote on me on it, though.

Nowadays, better known for 埼玉県のひみつ (Saitama Prefecture Secrets). Her recent work is バディ×婚活～こじらせ男女がVRで出会ったら～ (Buddy x Marriage Activity - When complicated men and women meet in VR)
