Aujourd'hui, découpe et mise en cure des #savons d'avant-hier...

"Le cas des Anges", c'est le noir. "Le Sandou", c'est le beige.

Des savons à froid qui entrent en cure : ils sont bien rangés dans le séchoir ou ils vont rester 4 semaines. Au premier plan, les savons sont noir ébène avec un trait blanc, ce sont des savons à l'huile de cade. En arrière plan, il y a des savons blancs avec un trait orange, ils sont au beurre de Karité.

Deux gros pains de savons posent nonchalamment devant l'objectif. Le premier est noir, le second est crème.

Sur le mur du séchoir à savon, il y a un thermomètre à aiguille (il fait 19°C) et un hygromètre (il fait 92% d'humidité). En première plan et en bas, il y a des savons verts et bleus qui sont rangés et en cure.

Allez, c'est officiellement parti ! #unsavonsouslayourte est de nouveau en production de #savon !!

Deux lots de savon, c'est à dire 150 unités entent en cure au séchoir pour 4 semaines. Ils sont empilés de façon laisser passer un filet d'air entre chaque savonnette.

Autoportrait du savonnier (un selfie, quoi), passablement fatigué et cerné autour des yeux. Cet homme-là est dans son labo mobile, tout coloré de rouge, jaune et violet. On voit derrière le type hirsute, grisonnant et barbu (courte, la barbe) le fameux portrait de Aliaa Al-Magdadi. Elle, c'est la figure de proue du labo. Bisou.

A bit of an ugly batch of soaps, but this is my first try with cocoa butter and splitting a batch 6 ways (got a set of samplers to try, so each was good for half-ish of a pound at the strength I scent). It was also my first attempt at using Pringle cans for molds.

The results would probably have been better if I had stopped trace a bit earlier and been able to fill the cans a bit more (and in turn had more oils of the same scent). This was also my first attempt at free-hand cutting the bars instead of using portioned shapes. #soapmaking #soapmaker #coldprocess

On mélange au mixeur les huiles et la soude. La texture chage et devient comme une mayonnaise : l'émulsion prend quand on atteint la "trace", un truc de #soapmaker que vous comprendrez en faisant du #soap vous-même. Quand la pâte à savon est prête, parfumée et colorée si on veut, on la coulera dans le moule. On garde ça au chaud précieusement sous des couettes pour que ça refroidisse le plus lentement possible.

Demain, on pèse et on découpe !

La pâte à savon dans sa caisse à savon. C'est la fin du processus pour le savonnier, le début de la transformation chimique pour le savon.

La pâte à savon atteint la phase "trace". C'est la fin du mixage.

Huile est lessi ne se mélangent pas. On voit ici le lessi basique qui est passé sous les huiles. La couleur est dorée transparente dessus, on l'iomagine blanche opaque dessous, parce que le lessi a déjà commencé à attaquer les huiles.

On mélange au fouet les adjuvents. C'est la fin du processus de mélange, la pâte à savon est prête à être transférée dans la caisse. On dirait une mayonnaise jaune citron bien prise. Le parfum des huiles essentielles explose.

A Little Fruity is a fruit loop scent. Berry Citrus is strawberries, raspberries, citrus and a hint of musk. Pineapple Mango is a warm spiced fruity scent. Manscaped is an aftershave type with notes of tobacco, bergamot and citrus.

I'd suggest folks stock up on #OliveOil, but as a #SoapMaker, I know it goes rancid rather quickly. #SunflowerOil has a similar SAP weight -- but also goes rancid quickly. Back to bacon grease and lard soap? And in our diets? I mean seriously. If we screw up our plant-based food sources, what will we eat? And make soap out of?

A pound of hot process shampoo fills about 1.5 moulds that I recently received!

This batch, my very first hot process, is chocolate orange! Gonna let it cool overnight before I free it and let it finish drying for a week.

I used olive oil, babassu oil, and lard for the fats (5% superfat); and avocado, grapeseed, and argan oils for the moisturizers.
