The #CompetitionBureau says it has obtained two #CourtOrders requiring the parent companies of #Loblaws and #Sobeys to hand over information related to its investigation into alleged anti-competitive conduct.
The bureau is investigating the use of property controls in the grocery sector, which are clauses in lease agreements that restrict other potential tenants and their activities.

Had my first grocery shop during #boycottLoblaws today. Ended up getting some stuff from the next worst grocer, #sobeys.
In the produce section there is a sign showing their "So-Local" branding along with the claim "Grown right here at home".
I would like to point out that EVERY SINGLE ITEM under that sign is IMPORTED from either "USA" or "USA or Mexico".
We live north of the USA, and very north of Mexico.
Not a single local item on the shelf. Not even one from this country. So-Local indeed.
