I really enjoy the "Illustrated Guide to Law" webcomic. It's written from an American perspective, but the basic principles are kinda universal.

Part 3: For the love of god, WHY?
Let's say you committed a crime, harming society. The state responds by harming you. It's reasonable to ask yourself Why?
What possible puropose is served by the state adding injury to injury?
How does adding more suffering make society any better off?

Finally started to try my hands at mold making for tin casting. I decided to go for some #larp coins.

As I just started out last week, I'm quite happy with the result. This is my second mold design.

Generally, from 3D designing the coins in #blender, to creating the mold with years old silicon, to actual casting in our flat with a hand burner, this went smoother than I feared. Still had quite a few missteps and learning experiences.

I just finished "Second Hand Curses" by Drew Hayes. And I enjoyed it quite a bit. :)

It's a somewhat bloody yarn set in a fairytale fantasy world. It follows three scoundrels who are neither shining knights nor villains, as they take on various tasks. The characters are likeable and interesting, and it's fun to learn more about them. The storytelling is well paced and captivating.

#bookstodon This is a recommendation for the southern gothic #horror book "Burn Our Bodies Down" by Rory Power. I finished it at 4am, which was stupid, but worth it.

The novel has a slow start. There's a lot of teen angsty inner monologue.

Yet this is well crafted horror on multiple levels, setting an atmosphere, stirring your curiosity, making you care about the folks in the story despite all their flaws.
