We're recreating classic stories from Sonic the Comic with one artist per panel in each issue, and this time we're recreating Lew Stringer's Enter the Cybernik parts 2 and 3 in a double issue!

PAGE 3

1. Porker has flicked the lightswitch on the wall. In the stark lighting we see the thief revealed to be Rouge the Bat, standing next to the emerald. She's dressed in the pink outfit of Miss Alpha's gang plus a backpack that is obscuring her wings. Porker is with two guards.

Porker: Not so fast!

Rouge: How?! The alarms should have been off!

2. Rouge paws at her outfit, muttering.

Porker: You're not exactly hard to spot in that bright pink.

Rouge: I knew I should have stolen the bodysuit for this heist from someone else.

3. Porker walks over, along with a few guards and the curator. He's waving a pink paper heart. Rouge has regained her composure somewhat and effects her usual nonchalant behaviour.

Porker: You're the jewel thief that's been leaving these calling cards everywhere for the last few months, aren't you?

Rouge: Best form of advertising there is, honey.

4. Porker grins.

Porker: I spotted the security protocols for the exhibition had been disabled earlier today while Knuckles was posing for photos. We've been waiting for you.

Guard: And don't try to run, little mouse. You're surrounded.

5. Rouge looks at them with a sly grin.

Rouge: Okay boys, I'm yours for now. But there's one thing you should know about me…

6. Her wings burst out from where they were concealed inside her backpack, ripping the backpack along its (velcro) seams.

SFX: Rip

SFX: SPROING

7. Rouge spreads her wings and flies up towards the skylight.

Rouge: I'm not a mouse!

1. Knuckles' hand clasps around Rouge's airborne ankle. Knuckles is holding on with his other hand to the museum wall.

Knuckles: But you are surrounded.

Rouge: No!

2. Knuckles glides them both down. Rouge looks furious once again.

Rouge: Let me go, you red-faced anteater!

3. Now back on the floor and being held captive by Knuckles, Rouge switches persona and hits on Porker.

Rouge: Hey, friend, you wouldn't arrest little ol' me, would you? I'm Rouge, by the way…

4. Porker bats her off, uninterested.

Porker: Oh, please.

5. One of the guards hands Porker Rouge's phone.

Guard: She dropped this on the way up. Lots of calls from this one number lately.

6. Porker looks at the phone.

Porker: Well then, Rouge, let's see who you're working for.

7. Porker presses the redial button.

PAGE 5

1. The curator's phone rings from inside his clothing. He looks indignant.

Knuckles: The curator! You hired Rouge to steal the emerald?

Curator: I don't know what you're talking about!

2. Knuckles muses. Porker's solved it.

Knuckles: Hm, if my emerald happened to go missing hours after the museum technically stopped borrowing it—

Porker: —and then if somehow it later ended up back in the Curator's possession…

3. The curator drops the pretense.

Curator: Okay, fine! All right! We'd be under no contractual obligation to return it to the Floating Island. It's been our most popular exhibition in years!

Knuckles: How dare you!

4. The curator is cuffed by one of the guards.

Curator: It's been museum policy for years! I saw no reason to change that.

Porker: Well, I can't imagine your successor agreeing with you, now that the secret's out.

5. Rouge cocks a hopeful eyebrow with a smile. Porker laughs.

Knuckles: At least Rouge here is an honest thief.

Rouge: Does that mean I'm free to go?

6.

Knuckles: No, both of you are going on display…

Porker: … behind a set of steel bars.

Porker: Now how's that for an exhibition, Curator?

Curator: Bah!

Knuckles: On Loan

1. An unidentified character in silhouette is talking on the phone, looking down through the skyroof of a museum into the exhibition chamber where we can see Knuckles and Porker standing next to a podium.

Character in Silhouette: Yes, I understand. The echidna and the pig are in the museum waiting for the proceedings to start. I'll speak to you again afterwards.

2. Porker and Knuckles stand next to the emerald with a crowd of spectators, journalists, and photographers around them. The crowd has parted for the curator, a raccoon

Porker: Having all these people around is putting me on edge

Knuckles: Take a break if you want. The museum's kept the emerald safe for the last month. I'm sure they'll manage for another few hours.

Curator: Ah, Knuckles! Ready to smile for the papers?

3. Knuckles and the curator stand in front of the emerald, cameras flashing around them. The curator addresses the journalists. Porker walks off in the background

Curator: Thank you once again to Knuckles for the loan of this priceless Kohenyu emerald. I'll be truly sorry to see it leave our walls tomorrow, after our contract expires at midnight

Knuckles: Well, thanks to your team of archaeologists I finally have another control panel on the Floating Island working. I could hardly say no to your request after that.

4. Knuckles scratches his head

Knuckles: But I'm looking forward to getting it back home where it belongs tomorrow morning.

PAGE 2

1. The museum is dark, it's after hours and nobody is about. A skylight casts moonlight on the emerald.

Caption: Overnight, the early hours…

2. The rooftop character, still in silhouette, opens the skylight.

SFX: KTHUNK

3. The silhouetted character dives down, with a rope trailing behind them, connected to the roof.

4. Gloved hands reach for the emerald...

Character: Piece of cake—

5. The museum lights turn on.

SFX: KLIK

Character: —what?

Drew this DTS on 22.07.2018 on my DA account. Story wise, Will had been given gloves that can allow you to say "Screw you, gravity", so seeing this DTS, I had to do it. And I added a second image, because I thought it was funny.
