A Neolithic chambered tomb with a broken capstone, it has a lovely setting looking across Afon Llwchwr towards Llanelli and the mountains of South Wales.

A burial chamber consisting of a massive capstone supported on much smaller upright standing stones. The capstone has been broken in the distant past and a semi-circular piece lies on the ground next to the chamber. Smaller stones of a circular cairn surround the chamber. It's overcast with heavy cloud over the horizon. The waters of a river estuary can be seen far below, with houses of a small village on the near side of it.

The remaining stones of the chamber of Sweyne's Howes (North) chambered tomb on the slopes below Rhossili Down, Gŵyr/Gower for #StandingStoneSunday. There are two tombs here, as well as many Bronze Age cairns and a prehistoric settlement.

The stone on the right is a large slab which would have formed the capstone. The chamber is surrounded by smaller stone blocks, which remain from a surrounding or covering cairn. It's a grey, overcast day.
