Today's rando op-shop find was this 1976 first edition hardcover of 'William McGonagall: The Truth at Last' by #SpikeMilligan & Jack Hobbs.
For the princely sum of $2 it's in surprisingly excellent condition - even the dust jacket is near perfect, aside from a very faded jacket spine.
Never even seen a hardback before - only the Penguin paperback with the colour illustration of McGonagall wielding a sword whilst wearing a saucepan in his head.
Anyway, an unexpected treat. 😎

#SpikeMilligan was a renowned Irish comedian, writer, musician, poet, playwright, and actor.
He is best known for co-creating and starring in the influential BBC radio comedy series The Goon Show, alongside Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe.
Milligan’s work significantly influenced British surreal and alternative #comedy, paving the way for Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
