Gave the controller to Daikon and hurriedly explained the rules to him (he is not the Panel de Pon sommelier that I am 😏) and he immediately is into it and going "what the fuck they are cheating this is bullshit this is BULLSHIT" before sitting up straighter and starting again. He refuses to give the controller back LOL
This chillhop beats game can get pretty intense LOL 😭😭😭
Okay hmmm another kind of weird thing is that on the spell equip screen, and ONLY this screen, it rapidly flips to the left as if the controller is drifting or stuck. I don't have any other controllers plugged in, this controller doesn't (to my knowledge) drift, and as I said it is ONLY this screen... my copy of Spirit Swap is haunted...
This is supposed to be a chillax easygoing no-stress game and here I am white-knucklin it 😭 There aren't many games on which I'd hang my Gamer Cred, but Dr. Mario and Panel de Pon are the two bigguns, I WILL demand rematch after rematch until I finally win okay, this is just how I am
(technically you can just skip over these battles and continue with the story with zero penalty. but like. I am a stubborn ass, I WILL beat Mo on SHEESH! mode lmao)

I set the game difficulty to Spicy (highest) because I find too many Panel de Pon-likes are just way too easy to the point of being kind of mindless. I am happy to report that the Spicy setting on this indeed brings the heat, I am getting my ass beat by Leon, the first opponent you meet
