Un problème généré par certains agissements des boites #IA (aspiration sauvage de tous les sites), c'est qu'elles deviennent la seule source d'information, car décourageant les gens de contribuer ailleurs.

On le voit déjà dans 2 cas : #Wikipedia et #StackOverflow.

L'appauvrissement se constate quotidiennement par une simple requête dans un moteur de recherche.

Donc même si vous ne les utilisez pas, vous êtes impacté.

I recently saw the attached graph for #stackoverflow which made me wonder about a #Discourse forum I maintain. By looking at our stats, I see that there were very few posts after March 2025.

I read about the potential impact of #LLM on other platforms like #wikipedia and I'm now wondering whether people now ask LLMs for help so post frequency is decreasing?

I'm low-key sad that people learning how to code now will never know the anxiety that came with posting a new question on #StackOverflow. My fondest #programming memory has to be asking a question and being told that I asked it wrong.

The #LLM providers will make more and more money -- while layoffs and closures increase, energy costs go up, computer prices go up, and water becomes more scarce.

Call it a conspiracy, but I'm still convinced that #StackOverflow is dying primarily because the marketing for CodeGen AI demotivated a lot of people to the point that they do not even want to program anything anymore.
I've seen a lot of (what could have been) Juniors avoid doing anything with code because AI will be able to do it in 5 years anyway so there is no point in learning it.

And then the large layoffs, so the remaining ones are probably too busy to write answers there
