My god, seeing #StarWarsBattlefront3 running at more than 5 Frames per second and being content complete is fucking surreal to me. Sure, lots of polish is needed, lots of things are still broken, the AI seems to barely work, but it makes me feel like we may actually see it one day.
The community could finish the job. I am not holding out my breath for a company like Aspyr or whatever actually finishing the game and finally releasing it. I would be all over it if it did, but I'm being realistic here, and Disney seems to have such a strong no fun allowed track record with Star Wars video games that, yeah, it's probably never gonna happen.
Don't get me wrong, the build we have right now is like two weeks before release and yeah it's clear that the rumors were full of shit when they said the game just needed a couple of weeks of polish and it was ready to go, no it's not but... it's content complete. It needs a lot of polish and work but it looks doable.
Maybe we will get this game for real one day.
