È stato firmato martedì presso il Ministero della Cultura, alla presenza del Ministro della Cultura, Alessandro Giuli; del Direttore Generale Musei, Massimo Osanna; del Direttore delle Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica di Roma, Thomas Clement Salomon e del notaio Luca Amato, l'atto di acquisto del Ritratto di Monsignor Maffeo Barberini di Caravaggio che, al termine delle procedure amministrative previste, entrerà a far parte del patrimonio dello Stato e sarà assegnato alle Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica di Roma, entrando stabilmente nelle collezioni di Palazzo Barberini. Lo comunica il MiC in una nota. "Dopo oltre un anno di trattative annunciamo oggi l'acquisto, da parte del Ministero della Cultura, di uno straordinario capolavoro di Caravaggio, il ‘Ritratto di Monsignor Maffeo Barberini'. Si tratta di un'opera di eccezionale importanza, attribuita al Maestro da Roberto Longhi, che viene oggi offerta alla piena fruizione del pubblico e della comunità scientifica internazionale, a pochi mesi dalla sua prima esposizione in un museo, avvenuta a Palazzo Barberini. Tale acquisizione, insieme a quella, recente, dell' ‘Ecce Homo' di Antonello da Messina, si inserisce in un più ampio progetto di rafforzamento del patrimonio culturale nazionale che il Ministero della Cultura continuerà a portare avanti nei prossimi mesi, con l'obiettivo di rendere accessibili a studiosi e appassionati alcuni capolavori della storia dell'arte altrimenti destinati al mercato privato. Desidero ringraziare tutte le istituzioni, i funzionari e i tecnici che hanno lavorato con grande competenza e dedizione affinché un risultato di questa rilevanza potesse essere raggiunto", afferma Giuli. L'acquisizione, conclusa per la cifra di 30 milioni di euro al termine di una lunga trattativa - spiega il MiC - "rappresenta uno degli investimenti più rilevanti mai sostenuti dallo Stato italiano per l'acquisto di un'opera d'arte e testimonia l'impegno del Ministero della Cultura nel rafforzare le collezioni pubbliche". Il Ritratto di Monsignor Maffeo Barberini' raffigura il futuro papa Urbano VIII (1568-1644) intorno ai trent'anni, nella veste di chierico della Camera Apostolica, in un momento cruciale della sua ascesa al potere.

L'università di Firenze ha conferito al Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella la laurea magistrale honoris causa in "Politica, Istituzioni e Mercato". La cerimonia si è svolta al Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, nell'ambito delle celebrazioni del 150 anniversario della Scuola di Scienze politiche 'Cesare Alfieri'. Un gesto che significa tributare al Capo dello Stato "il riconoscimento di figura esemplare della cultura istituzionale italiana, simbolo di come le cariche pubbliche debbano essere interpretate nel rispetto dei valori costituzionali, del dialogo e della competenza". Mattarella come "modello concreto e ispiratore di servizio pubblico" per gli studenti, ma soprattuto di rigore democratico e responsabilità istituzionale.
Il titolo è stato consegnato dalla rettrice Alessandra Petrucci che "a nome di tutta la Comunità accademica" ha espresso gratitudine per il suo ruolo di rappresentanza dell'Italia nel mondo "con saggezza, equilibrio, preparazione ed esempio". Al termine della cerimonia il Capo dello Stato ha tenuto una lectio magistralis, partendo dal ricordo di Silvano Tosi, il"primo allievo e poi docente autorevole della Cesare Alfieri". Mattarella ha quindi ribadito l'importanza dei partiti politici nel paese, che rappresentano "il motore della rinascita democratica dell'Italia", per poi soffermarsi sul valore della persona nella società.
"La tecnologia e la scienza sembrano avere oggi bisogno soprattutto di un nuovo e vigoroso apporto di carattere umanistico, di una nuova ricomposizione della unicità del sapere, sempre più avvertita e concretamente sviluppata da discipline che un tempo apparivano estranee le une alle altre - ha detto il Quirinale - Vi è l'esigenza di rimettere al centro la persona, i valori umani e universali, il senso di comunità che accresce il valore delle relazioni tra le persone, nel rispetto e del reciproco riconoscimento di dignità e di diritti". Di qui il richiamo alle intuizioni profetiche di Tocqueville: "La più inquietante per il nostro tempo è forse quella che prevede un futuro oscillante fra la libertà democratica e la tirannide cesarista". E l'appello: "Non lasciamo che questo avvenga, che si realizzi una simile regressione".

The degree was presented by Rector Alessandra Petrucci who, “on behalf of the entire academic community,” expressed gratitude for his role as representation of Italy in the world “with wisdom, balance, preparation and example.” At the end of the ceremony, the Head of State delivered a lecture, starting with the memory of Silvano Tosi, the “first student and then authoritative teacher of Cesare Alfieri.” Mattarella then reiterated the importance of political parties in the country, which represent “the engine of Italy’s democratic rebirth,” before focusing on the value of the individual in society.
“Technology and science seem today to need especially a new and vigorous contribution of humanistic character, a new rebalancing of the uniqueness of knowledge, increasingly felt and concretely developed by disciplines that once appeared foreign to each other – stated the Quirinal – There is a need to put the person, human and universal values, the sense of community that increases the value of relationships between people, with respect and mutual recognition of dignity and rights.” Consequently, reference was made to the prophetic insights of Tocqueville: “Perhaps the most unsettling for our time is that which foresees a fluctuating future between democratic freedom and Caesarist tyranny.” And the appeal: “Let us not allow this to happen, let us ensure that such a regression does not take place.”

Il Tempo: Sumai, 'per gettonisti 150 euro l'ora contro 40 del Ssn, sistema da rivedere'
Roma, 9 mar. (Adnkronos Salute) - Il medico gettonista over 70 richiamato in servizio, "titolare di partita Iva, ha dato la sua disponibilità a tornare in corsia a 150 euro l'ora perché la normativa vigente glielo consente. Tuttavia, secondo il Sumai-Assoprof, prima di ricorrere a questa soluzione andrebbero applicate le regole già previste". Così all'Adnkronos Salute Antonio Magi, segretario generale del Sumai-Assoprof, il sindacato dei medici ambulatoriali, commenta la vicenda la vicenda del camice bianco richiamato dalla pensione per lavorare in corsia in alcuni ospedali del Lazio e che sarebbe stato pagato 35mila euro in 1 mese.
"Prima di optare per il medico gettonista - chiarisce Magi - la legge prevede di verificare chi, tra i medici dipendenti del Servizio sanitario nazionale, è disponibile a coprire il turno e chi, tra gli specialisti ambulatoriali, è disposto a fare lo stesso. Così come occorre controllare le graduatorie, sia dei medici ospedalieri sia degli specialisti ambulatoriali. Solo se non ci sono alternative si può attingere alla graduatoria della libera professione".
"Il problema - sottolinea Magi - è che oggi un medico gettonista guadagna più di un medico strutturato del Ssn: 150 euro lordi l'ora contro i 40 di chi è ancora in servizio nel Ssn. Parliamo di soldi pubblici, mentre lo Stato continua a non aumentare gli stipendi dei medici del Servizio sanitario nazionale. E' una situazione difficile da spiegare anche perché il gettonista e il medico strutturato lavorano fianco a fianco, una vergogna". Secondo il segretario del Sumai, "per rendere più attrattivo il Ssn bisognerebbe portare quella cifra (40 euro lordi l'ora) almeno a 70 euro lordi l'ora".
