I hadn't kept up with #SteveWright's career or appearance since some time in the 1980s, so it was only when the internet was flooded with pictures of him following the sad news of his death this week that I realised he'd started modelling himself after doughy action hero and unfeasibly black-haired Putin fan #StevenSeagal. Such a shame that Wright never interviewed Seagal on air: the personality clash would have been splendid, the imagined scent of black shoe polish overwhelming.
