Tea tableau in desert colors commemorating Indigenous Peoples' Day. Upon a burnt orange cloth are a shiny black cup and saucer with a strand of turquoise, carnelian, black onyx,and silver beads entwined around it. Beside it is a carved obsidian statuette of an Aztec or Mayan eagle warrior encrusted with semiprecious stones. Behind them are a black teapot and a gourd basket etched with an iguana design. There is also a carved wooden spoon, and the tea is an herbal blend called Be Well from Oshala Farm in Oregon. It has elderberry, nettle, rosehip, burdock, echinacea, elderflower, and red clover.

Happy #Doorsday from the charming #Colmar!
This is a side entrance to the beautiful #ÉgliseDesDominicains. It’s the second largest and second most important #church in Colmar, built between 1289 and 1346. We didn’t go inside to see the famous religious painting "Madonna of the Rose Bower" (which we weren’t aware of at the time), because kiddo had just tripped and taken a nasty tumble, bloodying their knees and screaming the whole city down. 🫣 A memorable first day of our summer holiday last year 😅

Ornate Gothic-style entrance to the Eglise des Dominicains in Colmar, France. The doorway features a pointed arch with intricate stone carvings and decorative tracery. Above the dark wooden double doors stands a statue of the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus, mounted on a slender column.
