They have been trying to dismantle public education and replace it with #ChristianIndoctrination via #CharterSchools, #HomeSchooling, and letting ever hack found a #MicroSchool drawing down state educational budgets and hurting children by not letting them have a comprehensive education and poor public schools so they cannot effectively compete for jobs and depriving them of a common American experience that public schools are ... The conservative mindset used to be the honorable counterpart to any progressive movement. In an ever faster changing world of polycrises, clinging to the status quo is getting more and more irrational. The conservatives' worldwide drift towards right-wing authoritarianism is a desperate reaction of defiance. We can only hope that this is a temporary phenomenon. Change is about to come, by design or by desaster.
