Der Winter kommt - doch wie nachhaltig ist die Entwicklung in Richtung Hochwinter? Die Cluster-Analyse vom vergangenen Sonntag hatte mit einer Wahrscheinlichkeit von 78 Prozent ein blockierendes Hoch zum Jahreswechsel auf dem Atlantik berechnet, was jetzt auch so kommt. Das Strömungsmuster meridionalisiert und setzt einen Prozess in Gang, welcher eisige Polarluft aus Skandinavien nach Süden - in Richtung der Alpen rauschen lässt. Auf dem Weg bis zu den Alpen müssen die Kaltluftmassen jedoch einige Hürden nehmen und auch die ungewöhnlich warmen Meere queren, was zwangsläufig zu Turbulenzen führen wird. Und diese Turbulenzen werden entscheidend sein, ob chaotisches Winterwetter mit unwetterartigem Schneefall oder nur ein winterliches Geplänkel über Deutschland hinwegziehen wird.
