✝️Hay un montón de religiones y movimientos raros o paródicos que, o bien surgieron como broma, o bien usan el formato de “religión” para cuestionar creencias tradicionales o simplemente para jugar con ideas absurdas.
Lo curioso es que muchos de ellos tienen seguidores, símbolos o textos escritos, y algunos incluso han aparecido en debates legales o culturales.
La más conocida es la Iglesia del Monstruo del Espagueti Volador, también llamada pastafarismo.
Nació como protesta satírica contra enseñar creacionismo en escuelas, y propone que el universo fue creado por un monstruo hecho de espaguetis y albóndigas.
Están también:
Invisible Pink Unicorn, que es literalmente un unicornio rosa e invisible y satiriza cómo creemos en cosas que no podemos probar.
Kibology, una sátira humorística de religiones en internet.
Landover Baptist Church, que es una parodia del fundamentalismo cristiano llevada al extremo.
Last Thursdayism, que plantea en broma que el universo fue creado el jueves pasado con recuerdos falsos.
Tarvuism, una religión inventada por humoristas para parodiar videos religiosos.
First Church of the Last Laugh, asociada a un desfile satírico en San Francisco.
También hay movimientos que mezclan humor con filosofía o crítica cultural:
Church of the SubGenius, que toma la figura del profeta “Bob” Dobbs para satirizar sistemas de creencias y promover la idea de “Slack” (vivir sin estrés ni obligaciones ridículas).
Discordianismo, centrado en la diosa del caos Eris, celebra el desorden como algo tan válido como el orden.
Dinkoism, lanzado en India, que venera a un personaje de cómic como forma de ridiculizar la fe ciega.
Dudeism, inspirado en The Big Lebowski, que promueve una filosofía de vida relajada como si fuera espiritualidad.
Kopimism, que considera sagrado el acto de copiar y compartir información.
United Church of Bacon, que usa el amor por el bacon para criticar privilegios religiosos y promover causas sociales.
Religiones absurdas como Gadgetology (venera a un personaje de dibujos), Googlism (hace de Google una “deidad”), y otras que los listados académicos clasifican como parodia o sátira.
Además, en listas más amplias de religiones extrañas también aparecen términos como Eventualism, Jediism, Iglesia Maradoniana o el culto a personajes ficticios, aunque muchos de estos son más cultura pop que religión establecida.
Lo interesante es que algunas de estas “religiones” no buscan que las tomes al pie de la letra, sino que plantean preguntas: ¿por qué creemos lo que creemos? ¿Qué hace que algo sea “verdad”? ¿Puede la fe ser humor crítico y no dogma?
