Ich mein, nehmen wir mal alles von Electrola bis EMI, die #Polydor in all ihren Varianten und Firmenkonstruktionen, Brunswick, London und wie sie nicht alle heissen bzw. hiessen. #Philips mit seinem OhGottOhGott-Label #Fontana fiele mir da auch noch ein.
Oder Sam Phillip's #SunRecords der weitere Labels wie #PhillipsInternational (nicht zu verwechseln mit "unserer" Philips) oder auch #CharlyRecords gründete und betrieb.
Wobei Charly wiederum, bis heute noch, meine ich, viele der damals unveröffentlich gebliebenen Sun-Aufnahmen raushaut. So z.B. Jerry Lee Lewis "Friday Night" und andere Schätze aus den 1950ern. Kurze, knackige Tracks mit grade mal 1:50 bis zwei Minuten Spielzeit pro Titel. Herrlich.🤩🤩

Spent yesterday in Memphis, Tennessee checking out Graceland, Sun Records/Studios, and Beale Street. So much early Rock & Roll history.
I liked the city and it makes me shake my head at the smack talkers about it. Yes, it is gritty and low income. I think most are uncomfortable about the majority African-American population which leads to the smack talk.
Definitely a city for people who love music and want to see some history.
