There's SO much more to the GBA port of Super Mario Bros. 3 than just e-Reader Levels. The e-Reader can do a LOT more.

The Switch Cards allow you to modify physics and behavior in the Main Game & World-e, and Power-Up Cards let you get otherwise unobtainable items, such as the Cape Feather and Boomerang.

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the release of Super Mario Bros. 3 in North America. Technically the first video game I have ever owned, as it came with an old but functional NES that was passed down to me sometime in the 90s, and boy did I play the hell out of it!.

I think I'm done with #AstroBot. I might pop on every now and again to play with my kids, but for the most part of putting that in the 'finished' column.

Which means I need a new game to play.

I'm really thinking it might be time to take a much awaited look at #DemonsSouls. I've not touched that yet and I'm somewhat hesitant to play #DarkSouls2 right now.

Could go back in time and play some #SuperMarioBros3, or maybe take a look at #DrillDozer?

Or then there's my Steamdeck. I've got a keyboard and Dock on the way today so I'm excited to play some #TheRootreesAreDead at some point...but I've already got a frighteningly long backlog to clear and so I think it's gonna be either #Venba or #BombRushCyberfunk.

Just remembered a #SuperMarioBros3 wall calendar from my childhood. Just my brain making wild connections to years while I'm watching a #TakeThat documentary on YouTube.

I know I kept that calendar for years, because of the art. My brain is associating it with 1993, but that's probably not correct?

I wonder if there still are any around and preserved, over three decades later.
