The Long Dark is a fantastic, brutal, lonely winter survival game with both a huge sandbox mode and a gripping, long story mode. I can't recommend it enough & at currently $4.50 CAD on sale it's an easy buy.

Why games take years to develop is starting to dawn on me. I thought I was making a small low scoped game when I started, picking #picotron as the platform, not including any enemies, sticking to one map as a prototype.

Map is huge, systems are complex, scope has balooned, been brought back in and then balooned out again. As soon as I get excited about the project again I start adding features.

But at the end of the day, at least I’m enjoying myself.
