Occasionally I get motivated to delete all my posts so here is a new #introduction

My name is Christopher King. I’m a husband to an amazingly talented artist and a father to the best adventure pup. As a family, we love to explore Colorado through camping and hiking.

For hobbies, I like learning new languages. I mostly study #japanese but I know some #swedish as well. When I feel inspired, I like digital sculpting and drawing as well as learning guitar. During the warmer months I also like to homebrew all-grain beer.

Expect me to boost a lot of Japanese and gaming influenced art and photography.

Ok so my favourite Swedish word of today is “snickesnacka” which means “gossip” or little chat.

(NB I know that the Danes use “ping pong” to mean friendly chatter as they have (or at least used to have) special seats on their trains designated as “ping pong”)

Just came across a case of a non-EU founder forced to sell his startup in sustainable agriculture and leave #Sweden because of #xenophobia and incompetence of the #Swedish migration agency. This is nothing but a display of rampant xenophobic and racist environment brewing up in Sweden.
Can #EU ever become sovereign and self dependent in technology?
The answer is no, unless people in EU stop being racist and xenophobic.

I'm back on GrapheneOS ☺️

I settled for an Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Will try to keep that for two years but we'll see. I have a tendency to buy new hardware quite often. (way too often).

And of course I started donating to GrapheneOS again.

Today I found a great keyboard that has support for auto correct in many languages, my included (Swedish).
The keyboard app is HeliBoard, an actively developed fork of OpenBoard.

So far I've found one app that does not really work with GrapheneOS and that is a car parking app (Parkering Göteborg), but I haven't used that in ages and I've read that there should be other ways to pay for parking in Göteborg when / if I go there again.

My gorgeous .strandberg* electric guitar is – like Ola Strandberg – very Swedish, and that lovely bit of stained glass is my way of dedicating the space to serious practice.

I found this reply that I made in 1984 to Dennis Ritchie in the net.followup newsgroup. I was at the time lobbying Sun to add 8-bit character set support to the firmware, but they wanted to hold out for a 16-bit system, like the as yet unnamed Unicode. There was eventually an interim solution but my memory of that is a bit foggy.
