Update: After hours on the phone with support, #FedEx delivered my #T1D supplies and I was able to change my infusion set only 30 hours late.

Ugh. Back in the old days, #FedEx could actually deliver packages. I’ll drive two hours tomorrow to pick up some essential #T1D supplies that #FedEx promised would arrive here (small town in Maine) from Washington DC on Tuesday. They were planning to deliver on Monday, almost a week late. #fail I know it’s the Xmas season but I paid top dollar (and they promised) next day delivery. #liars

One huge hurdle for cell therapies aimed to treat type 1 diabetes will be the cost of the cells.

Remarkably, Chinese researchers now can create 1,000 patient doses of pancreatic islet cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells for around $500,000, according to T1D pioneer Camillo Ricardi of the University of Miami.

I just got a letter from Dexcom telling me that the G6 is retiring sometime in 2026.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I hated changing from the G4, so I suspect I'm going to throw a small tantrum over the next one as well. And then I'll like it.

I just need to know when Ypsopump will be integrating it. And then relearn how to do that change on my pump settings.

Affrezza's great but so expensive!
I used 2hav insurance that kinda covered it- the rep from the affrezza company itself actually helped me get a big discount- your local rep might help u?

Now i use an insulin pump/cgm that the Calif "poor people insrc" got me (G newsome signed executive order in '21 forcing insrc to cover pumps) but it absorbs so slow!

Had a video meeting today with a new endocrinologist.

As a person with type 1 diabetes, I hate when a dr. simply tries to steam roll a conversation and doesn't take time to listen to what I have to say. So this new endo may be a short association.
