Well said Rob! When this was an active issue back in 2014, that was before the UP Express & waterfront revitalization (including the Port Lands, whose plans would be negatively affected by jets). Jets on the island airport make no sense in today’s context. #topoli

Even after so many policy changes on housing, that this kind of shit can still happen is very discouraging.

I can say this for sure, never again will anyone make a budget motion to have a 0% residential property tax increase and make up the shortfall with revenue from a casino boat. Mostly because of strong-mayor legislation that took away Council's say in the budget, but still.
