When I question Micheál Martin on this, he tried to claim that it is all sorted now - but it isn’t!
The school managed to keep it's doors open this month, using and advance on money that was already due to the school next year. But this just kicks the can down the road and means the same crisis will happen in a few months again.

It’s absolute madness that this couple in Kilnamanagh could face significant fines for getting external insulation. I have drafted legislation to exempt nearly all external wall insulation from the need for planning permission, just like solar panels are exempt.
We need to be encouraging and funding people to insulate their homes - not punishing them for it.

Save Our Schools!
Despite Micheál Martin trying to claim the issue is resolved, this is NOT what we're hearing from parents / teachers. It's simply kicking the can down the road by giving an advance on next years funding.
There's a deep funding crisis in both Senior and Junior schools. It is a political choice by government to NOT properly fund our schools.
This must be resolved, and I will continue until it is.
Save our schools - pay the bills!
I will be raising this in the Dáil this week and demanding that funding is provided immediately. The Senior School ALSO needs urgent funding in order to be able to stay open from next September.
It's good to hear that the Junior School may not be closing, but this is only kicking the issue further down the road
The government can find lots of money when they want to. €140 million a year is given in public funding to private schools!
