Got this #tea for #Shabbat.

I wasn’t expecting to be simmering a tea pot today when I got up this morning, or ever, really, but here we are.

I happened to visit a local shop with various imported goods from China, and amongst the teaware, there was this (supposed) Yixing pot. I say supposed, because it was fairly cheap for what I see these teapots go for, but to be fair, the ones I see online are usually from specific artists and start at roughly ten times the price.

December 12th, Take T tea calendar.
Halfway! Today's tea, which I took out from the box, is Jäniksen Vuosi, the year of the hare.
It contains green and white tea, sugared papaya, mallow petals, rose petals, strawberry pieces and raspberry drops. The website describes it as tasting like an exotic fruit. And it really does taste like that. I like it. I could see myself buying a full bag of this.

My new favorite beverage is steeping 2 Earl Grey teabags, in a large mug, to a dark color (colour?). Then I add a liberal amount of heavy cream to it.
This is like a warm hug to me. No sugar needed.

I need new tea for work, anyone have any brands they like/recommend? I like green tea, or floral tea. It doesn't need to be caffeinated but it can be. I have a diffuser at my desk, so loose leaf or bagged is fine. #Tea

I have been a King Cole Orange Pekoe tea drinker for years. We would order it from Canada.

This is no longer an easy thing to do because….

I could tell the difference between your standard Ceylon and the Ceylon Gold, but this tastes standard to me. I don't feel any supremeness.
It's a good cuppa, no complaints.

Spouse called me earlier today, said she was at the Flushing Ten Ren store and asked me if it was okay to splurge on tea. Of course I said yes.

She bought a box of aged pu'er tea.

Edit: which is great, we both love pu'er but the last box we got was okay at best. This should be very nice.

Today I grabbed a bag of Slient Night Organic. It contains green tea with apple pieces, orange rind and orange pieces, cinnamon pieces and natural aroma of orange, vanilla and cinnamon.
As the name might suggest, it's a more Christmassy blend. The bag was enough for only one cup, so I'll try to enjoy it slowly 😄
Another a bit subtle in taste, but not bad at all.
