Last night Momma Darlo and I went on a hosted Ghost Walk through Wellington (Telford, Shropshire) as part of the town's Spooky Day event. It was a fun new experience, and the stories were interesting.

Telford has some roads that are just designed to fuel road rage. As such, I'll sometimes drive home a longer way to avoid what I call Traffic Widening Awareness Taker lanes (single lanes that split into dual lanes metres before a traffic light and merge back to single metres after, encouraging people to commit the most heinous of British crimes ... queue jumping). The extra five minutes is worth is to avoid driving alongside absolute bell ends.

Doing this daily drawing challenge has meant my other hobbies have taken a step back, especially my Toy Holiday photography. On Saturday the Wellington Urban Scarecrow Festival was held for the first time. It was fun to see the scarecrows in the town and my nieces enjoyed the craft sections where they made mini scarecrows. Looking forward to next year's event.

Today Momma Darlo and I went for a hot air balloon ride at the Telford Balloon Fiesta. It was a lot of fun, and I was surprised how quiet it was (except when the flame was on). Flying over Telford was interesting since I got to see a lot new views of familiar areas.

#20252025Challenge
Had dinner in a pub called the Wrekin Giant, so thought I'd draw that local legend. A Welsh giant called Gwendol went to destroy Shrewsbury with a giant spadeful of earth. In Wellington he asked a cobbler directions, but the cobbler showed him all of his damaged shoes saying that Shrewsbury was so far away he broke all the shoes coming from there. The giant then just dumped the earth where it was, giving up, and that earth became The Wrekin hill.
Or something like that.
