Of course, we took a short trip to see these pyramids. I was a little surprised at how easily they let anyone climb them without supervision. Happily, I did not see any vandalism. A similar thing happened when I was in Roman ruins in Morocco. I guess people have more respect for history than I expected.

I do not have much to say about these as I do not know the history, but I am happy to have gone there. After we visited them, we walked behind one of them a bit to a restaurant that was setup in a cave.

It was a really cool to climb down the steps of the cave to a huge open room to have lunch.

Black-and-white photograph of the Pyramid of the Sun and other ancient stepped stone structures at Teotihuacán. The photo is taken from a higher elevation on the Pyramid of the Moon and looks over a large part of the site. Tourists appear small and dotted below. There is a large area like a square with a raised stone stage in the centre. A wide roadway extends between the stone structures towards the site entrance. A ridge of mountains are in the background. The sky is clear with some fluffy clouds. Teotihuacán, Mexico, 16 April 2014. Photo Cindy Kohtala

I played #Teotihuacan (I had to search for the spelling!) and it was…ok? The rondel / dice strength part was fun. I spent the game resource constrained. Meaning I couldn’t score that many points. The central ziggurat? Nah, bobbins. Trying to figure out what matches what drags the game on. Quick actions, 1:30ish (with four)? Yeah it’d be a game I’d play again. 3.5 hours? Outstayed its welcome by double. #BoardGames #BrettSpiele @brettspiele
