The other game I've been playing and enjoying has been #TerraNil - a very interesting "anti"-citybuilder.
I love citybuilders, so I was excited about the prospect of rejuvenating a post-post-apocalyptic wasteland into a thriving ecosystem, then leaving it to animal caretakers of the land.
This last part is the stage of each mission I have a lot of frustration with. I really like how relaxing it is and I'll eventually review Terra Nil here: https://backloggd.com/u/astarrgames/

Ça raconte quoi ?
Dans un avenir proche, la pollution a rendu d’immenses régions stériles à toutes formes de vie. Grâce aux énergies renouvelables et à d’ingénieux dispositifs vous avez la mission de dépolluer les terres désolées pour les reverdir un minimum, de reconstituer une mosaïque d’habitats propres à chaques région de la planète : des mangroves tropicales aux toundras septentrionales.
Après que tout soit revenu à son état pré-destruction, animaux compris, il restera la dernière étape qui rend le jeu singulier : quitter les lieux en retirant toute trace humaine, laisser la vie sauvage suivre son cours sans plus d’interventions.

Pourquoi c’est chouette ?
Le studio Free Lives fait de l'éclectisme : d’abord la nostalgie des films d’action ‘90s avec Broforce, puis Genital Jousting qui semble jouer sur l’homophobie intériorisée comme pour la critiquer ou la renforcer (le message est pas clair, vos avis sont bienvenus).
Quand soudain, Terra Nil : un jeu du genre city-builder où d’ordinaire on construit des infrastructures sur une zone, mais ici au lieu d’accumuler et empiler les édifices, il faudra au contraire déconstruire le maillage intelligent qu’on a conçu les premiers tours, pour qu’au final il ne reste plus rien de notre passage.
On est ravi de voir les animaux revenir et à la fin de la première partie je ressentais un sentiment très apaisant de gratitude mêlé de l’impression d’avoir fait une bonne action.

Eco-conception
D’un point de vue gameplay (la façon dont le jeu se joue) on est très fortement encouragé à prévoir que les constructions devront être retirées avant la fin et donc à anticiper le nettoyage futur dès le moment où on décide où et comment construire les bâtiments.
Ce casse-tête particulier nous met dans la disposition mentale d’ingénieurs.es qui auraient à cœur de concevoir les infrastructures de l’avenir en intégrant dans le cahier des charges la nécessité de réduire au maximum leur impact environnemental. On pourrait aussi imaginer que si un projet ne peut pas atteindre un certain standard alors on ne peut pas se permettre de le réaliser.
On parlerait alors de conception écoresponsable, qui prend en compte les conséquences négatives qu’elle engendre sur l’environnement et ses habitants.
