It's been over two decades and while they have released a few EPS along the way, I am beyond hyped for a new LP.
One of my favorite bands of all time that somehow manages to capture moments of my nostalgic childhood through beautiful music and amazing lyrics every single time.
In 1984, Don Henley released "The Boys of Summer."
In 2003, The Artaris did a lovely cover of it.
It's been long enough. I think we're due for another suddenly popular cover of the song.

It's been a while since I have done a #MusicMonday.
Lately I've been listening to quite a bit of #TheAtaris.
I'll choose their song Fast Times At Drop-Out High.
Few bands are able to conjure so much childhood nostalgia and "coming of age" emotions for me.
20+ years on I'm still waiting on a proper follow up to So Long Astoria. In the meantime I'll continue to keep their classics on repeat.
