I'd been thinking of and missing Robin Williams, so I finally got around to watching Good Morning Vietnam.

I hadn't realized that it also stars Forest Whitaker, in about the most lighthearted role I've seen him.

Seeing them together led me to watch the 2013 film The Butler.

It's not light fare and tells a lot of American history through the career of the man who inspired the story, which is mostly fiction and surprisingly good for a film with so many recognizable stars.

I was moved by it, and highly recommend spending a couple hours to share the experience with someone.

I'm looking forward to seeing #Oppenheimer at our local full #IMAX theater.

The #technological innovations (including the first #BlackAndWhite IMAX #film) that went into making this #movie are worth paying for, for me.

The story and how it's told seem to be incredible, and I tend to avoid #biopics after learning how dishonest they can be (e.g. #TheButler).

And its 100 day #theatrical release window gives me hope for the future of #cinema.

I skip most #biopics and #bioseries after a former neighbor's experience with his father's biopic (#TheButler is nearly all fictional).

I'm also avoiding most #royalty content, real and fictional, because that entire concept needs to be eradicated.

However, I finally decided to watch the #Netflix series, #AfricanQueens: #Njinga, and #AdesuwaOni is great in episode 1.

Interesting story; I wonder how much "artistic license" this team's taken with the known facts.

I'm listening to #Scrivener read my latest draft of The Duchess. It's actually even better being read aloud than just reading it. Even though Scrivener doesn't pronounce all words correctly (how hard is 'as' to pronounce?) and the voice is mechanical without the expression a human reader would give it.

Wish I could afford to do an #Audiobook as I think the duology of #TheButler and #TheDuchess would do really well in that market. But sadly, Social Security doesn't cover such things.

If you are looking for a good fantasy romance with magic, fae, and some very unexpected twists and turns, stay tuned. These two book are getting close to publication ready.
