Avant son décès en juillet dernier, Martin Phillipps avait eu le temps de mener à son terme un dernier projet : enregistrer des titres de #TheChills qui ne l'avaient jamais été auparavant. C'est donc rien moins qu'un nouvel album des Chills qui sort aujourd'hui mais écrit et composé à la fin des années 80.

On se demande d'ailleurs comment ces 20 titres n'ont jamais franchi le stade de la partition car ils n'ont pas du tout à rougir de la comparaison avec ceux qui figurent sur Submarine Bells ou sur Kaleidoscope World : la même mélancolie transfigurée par les mêmes envolées pop !

The new remastered version of “Brave Words” by #TheChills is great. I always loved the album but the original version lacked oomph. New version has more guitars and bass in the mix and a bit less reverb or something. #indiepop #music
