First time rewatching The Expanse since it originally aired.
Not only better the second time around, I think it is even more relevant today than it was when it first aired.
A good guess at how humanity does/would behave.
Finished _The Churn_. Amos’s past seems intentionally vague in the novels, so it was interesting to see it developed.
Started _The Churn_ by James S.A. Corey.
Amos’s explanation of “the churn” is one of the most memorable parts of the show to me. I expect this story is the background to that bit of dialogue.
Picked up #TheChurn by James S. A. Corey and already blowing through it. Finished the main series but this is the first of #TheExpanse novellas I will have read.
Next in the queue: #Cabal by Clive Barker then onward to a rereading of #TheGunslinger by Stephen King. Never finished #TheDarkTower series and wanting to tackle it before the Mike Flanagan adaptation drops. Super excited for that one!

This is exactly what is happening. People are losing their jobs, losing their communities, losing their outlets, and losing their ways of organizing and sharing.
It was a jungle where many had carved out very real niches for themselves. The Churn is here and a totally different jungle will come out the other side.
The Churn describes was is happening very well.
