Last night, we watched The Crow: Salvation, a movie so bad it broke my brain.
I thought, Kirstin Dunst and Fred Ward are in this, and they're pretty good, but everything about this movie is terrible. Lighting. Sound quality. Acting. Costume design. Set design. The CGI. The main character's thrift store coat with padded shoulders.
Truly, dumbfoundingly bad.
I started to ask myself, What if I'm in the wrong here? What if this movie is par for the course? This movie is good, and it turns out all movies are like this, meaning there are NO good movies? Have any good movies actually existed this entire time, I wondered.
After the movie ended, with the ordeal over, I decided to rewatch The Batman to test the hypothesis.
To my relief, I discovered that good movies do exist, even if some are too long.
