A detail shot of the #NASA logo painted on the Vehicle Assembly Building. This version is commonly referred to as “The Meatball.” An alternative #logo NASA used for a few years, which was just “NASA” in a distinctive and flowing font, was called “The Worm” since it resembled an inchworm’s movement.
Fights over which logo is superior have ended in tragedy multiple times.
The Meatball on the VAB is 10 stories tall.
