You might remember I recently watched the two "Rescuers" Disney movies.

I also mentioned that they're based on books that are sadly out of print due to their age.

Well, look at this, I got a collected issue of the first three books at least. Slightly scratched cover, but that's fine.

So, now I can see how close, if at all, the movies are to the source material.

I'll keep on liking the movies, either way, though. 🙂

The book is kept in a pastel green. The cover image shows three small mice standing on their hind legs looking at a tiny map on a kind of tiny table. Obe mouse is white and points at a point of the map, another is black and the third one is also mostly black and either wears some kind of limp, pointed hat or a kind of woven, ponytail hairstyle.

The room in which they're reading the map is lit with a candle about twice the upright size of the mice.

I'll now watch Disney's "The Rescuers" from 1977.

I watched it as a child at some point but I remember nearly nothing from it except how some characters looked, so, yay, more cartoon stuff! 😊

Today’s #vintagedisney post is all about characters from #MK. One of my all time favorites was with the super rare #missbianca from #therescuers

Up until I was 6 we would only come to the Magic Kingdom for one day and I would only see one character. These are the ONLY three I saw from ages 3, 4, and 6. Drastic change from today, right?

funny, the only movie I've seen him in, was when he was the voice of one of the mice in Disney's animated film #TheRescuers. Liked his comedy, but more familiar with the #NewHartShow. RIP #BobNewhart.

Heute Abend eine weitere gewaltige Bildungslücke geschlossen und das erste Mal bewusst #TheSecretOfNIMH gesehen. Sehr toller Film, der schon ganz viele Zutaten späterer, noch erfolgreicherer Animationsfilme vorwegnimmt. Mrs Brisby ist eine echte Heldin und könnte 1:1 eine Figur aus #Mausritter sein. Der Film ist sowieso eine wahre Inspirationsfundgrube für dieses Spiel. (Neben #MouseGuard und #TheRescuers, versteht sich.) Da hätte ich gerne intelligente Fortsetzungen zu gesehen. 🐀
