#TheTokRiverFire (#289) Located roughly 10 miles south of Tok, The Tok river fire is currently at 314 acres and staffed by approximately 17 personnel. Firefighters are working to hold the western flank and prevent it from pushing closer to the Glenn Highway – Tok Cutoff. Efforts remain focused on containment and keeping the highway open.

#TractorTrailFire (#334) is a new fire reported on Monday June 23rd near the tree line to the southwest of Northway airport and is now estimated at 40 acres. The fire, located approximately 9 miles southwest from the Northway Junction, is burning in mixed hardwood fuels. 12 smokejumpers and 2 helicopters responded quickly. They are making good progress, and a helicopter is scheduled to fly today to assess the fire from the air.

Several fires are burning in a limited protection area northeast of Tok. The #RiverTrailFire (#276) has merged with the #LadueRiverFire (#278) and is now estimated at 19,938 acres. The #RidgelineFire (#278) is approximately 4,584 acres and located about 50 miles northeast of Tok. These fires are being monitored closely and are not currently threatening any communities or structures.

#LakeMansfieldFire (#282): Estimated at 688 acres, located 26 miles northeast of Tok, this fire is currently unstaffed but visible from the road. Forestry officials are working to get personnel assigned to assess and respond.
