I just watched The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, directed by Wes Anderson, from a short story of the same name by Roald Dhal. It features Benedict Cumberbutch, Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley, and Richard Ayoade — a stellar cast. Some of the best voices in the business, to boot.

It would be one of the most unusual short movies I have ever seen. Absolutely captivating visuals and storytelling. Apparently it's the first of four such adaptions of Dahl's work by Anderson under the Netflix banner, so now I must go and watch the others (The Swan, The Rat Catcher, and Poison).

If, like me, you don't have a Netflix account, well, I'm sure there are other sources...

#TheWonderfulStoryOfHenrySugar was great and hillariously entertaining with stars like #RalphFiennes, #DevPatel, #BennedictCumberbatch, and #BenKingsley, but it felt like #WesAnderson was punching down into the Shorts category against up and coming filmakers still trying to get noticed. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
