Update: this is in the alt-text and I realized that it probably makes sense to include it here … considering the times beauty and kindness need extra support!
The branches are now extra heavy and are hanging down but none have broken. I have several poles cut from other trees supporting some of the branches with heavier snow load on the right.

It snowed last night. Not a huge amount of snow, but the first real snow in our area this year. It’s a beautiful crisp sunny day.
Good morning! I don't have the right words to describe today. I'm going to spend the day concentrating on the positive and ignoring the media. If you're of a similar mind, I recommend the hashtag #TheWorldIsStillBeautiful, particularly photos that @dillyd is posting.
I'm particularly grateful for my heaviest sweatshirts and hoodies today. They'll get me through the next few days of cold weather as I put out food for the birds and corn for the deer.

It snowed again last night, and is cold af this morning. But the morning sun keeps peeking out between mixed clouds throwing long lines of golden sparkles between the tree shadows.
