A #Tornado Watch is in effect for #Itasca and Koochiching counties until 10 p.m. today. The severe #weather threat does extend east over more of the #Northland tonight.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, for Itasca and Koochiching counties in the Northland. This area will need to watch for developing strong and severe thunderstorms from the southwest heading into their area later this afternoon and evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed nearly all of the Northland in a Slight risk for severe weather for Sunday, June 22, 2025, and Sunday night. Only the locations east of Highway 63 in northwest Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula, which is under a Marginal risk. The severe weather threat will move from west to east the rest of today and tonight.
