Just a quick update of my reading:

I've finished Books 3 (The Bullet that Missed) and 4 (The Last Devil to Die) of the Thursday Murder Club series written by Richard Osman, which is about a bunch of geriatrics solving murders. Again, good reads. I even had to cry while reading the fourth one because it kinda hit close to home. I really can recommend this series in general.

I understand the author's going to write a book for a different series first before writing a 5th book, but a 5th book will come for sure so I'll eagerly await that one. I might probably take a peek at that other book too when it comes out since I do like his writing style, and one can't go wrong with his books either way.

Anyway, so I'm reading something completely different now. I encountered a positive mention about the Starship's Mage series by Glynn Stewart. I mentioned this to a buddy of mine, and he's already a bunch of books in now via Audible. He's talking positively about that too, so I'm now reading it as well.

I'm still in the first book of the series and am taking my time as I damn well please. I do like the storyline so far and am rooting for our young Mage and the Captain. I usually read a few pages most evenings and some mornings.

So for now I might be preoccupied with the Starship's Mage series which has got a few books in it. I hope the storyline stays interesting all the way through.

It's very rare that a book has an emotional moment strong enough to affect me.
I've read all of the #ThursdayMurderClub books so far, and the fourth has a section that I read today which actually made me cry.
That's exceptional writing.
