I cleaned up the #Tidbyt code for displaying Flights Nearby using data from the #HomeAssistant #FlightRadar24 integration. This replaces my previous applet that required a paid API.

The app will pull tail logos from airhex, thus no longer requiring an array of base64 encoded tail logos.

Last time I tried to publish an app to the Tidbyt store wasn't the best experience, so I suggest running this locally on your network.

I'm using a Home Assistant Now Playing app as a base, but I need to take from other Plex applets and improve on it.

Not sure how to disable scrolling, or how to split long titles automatically

While searching for cool #tech stuff, I found this #IoT device called a #Tidbyt. The concept is super cool to me; the price is not. 😅

However, @adafruit sells a similar #LED display to the one it uses, which is awesome.

Once I can afford it, I'm #hacking the heck out of it.
