Afternoon of snow day Monday went alright. Managed to convince kid to go tobogganing at Bellwoods, met up a friend there, got some nice runs, went over jumps three times - one I decided to do by myself, took it full speed, apparently got some decent air, and I certainly felt the landing.

BTW tobogganing at the Bellwoods bowl is prohibited by signs citing Toronto Municipal Code #608 and I have rarely seen a prohibition more actively flouted in Toronto.

Hot chocolate afterwards. Kid had been spoiled by my habits of very rich hot chocolate at home and was a little surprised by the cafe version.

Many sidewalks on Dundas and Ossington aren't cleared, I pulled kid on sled most of the way. The plows evidently aren't coming to save us, we have to grab the shovels and get digging.

I am content with how #today unfolded.

I practiced letting go of some anger at the start of my day. A residual issue with my interrupt work owing to someone else's choice. Ultimately not my problem.

Otherwise my day was calm. I returned to the work that was interrupted two weeks ago. I was wrapping up testing a big improvement for the 2.0 release of my SDK for $dayjob.

Well, I didn't get writing done. I did get outside to shovel the walk and steps to the parking lot again, and break down the wall of snow blocking my access to the lot that the plows had thrown up. I think I'll be able to get to PT tomorrow.

And I did the tub&tile cleaning that needed doing. After that and the shoveling, Theo and I rested in the recliner chair for a while.

I've started reading Candace Robb's new medieval mystery. She is so good.

Well...another night of not much snow but I did have to shovel earlier...still darn cold here at 12 degrees but it's going to gradually warm up...just saw one of my favorite movies on TCM..."Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor and I just sat here and watched the whole thing...for probably the 10th time...great performances from all of the actors...wow! Broke my coffee table yesterday by sitting on it...way too many repairs and they just gave up...good afternoon!
