While the US and China’s agreement on the Geneva framework may signal “stability” on the surface, the structural problems have not been resolved. The trade war has only been temporarily suspended; the struggle for technology, rare earths and hegemony continues. This agreement is not peace, it is just a new ground for negotiation.
