Relations looking like relations is one of the reasons I'm keen on Trilium at the moment. That and the fact that 6,000 notes in a SQLite database process a lot quicker than 6,000 Markdown files on a filesystem.
Using trilium-py to fix up the notes imported from Obsidian, a little bit at a time.
The important part is I'm having fun.
上一次看到Trilium的消息还是维护者没力气维护这个应用了,没想到昨天发现这个应用已经fork出了一个全新版本,连中文语言都支持了。
are there people here who extensively use #TriliumNotes / #Trilium and maybe have used #Logseq before?
Can i make the same Workflow "go" in Trilium? What i loved about Logseq was its lightness. Like... it opens a new Journal page everyday. [[WORD]] creates a new directly linked page (note) and it even links back to notes when mentioned.
Wrote up how I’m using Trilium Notes + a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to make my personal knowledge base AI-accessible.
It’s an experiment in blending local-first tools with LLM workflows: now Claude can create, search, and update notes on demand—via API, no UI required.
If you’re into self-hosting, PKM, or building your own AI workflows, you might find it useful.

Loaded up Trilium Next Notes, saw there was an update, learned that the fork has become the master. That is to say, the original Trilium author agrees that “Next” is mature enough that it deserves the original namespace. The process will take a few weeks.
If you don't mind Electron, JavaScript, and notes in a SQLite database, maybe check it out. It is ridiculously extensible to the point of Org or TiddlyWiki.
TriliumNotesの開発終了
TriliumNotesがすでに去年にメンテナンスモードとなり開発が終わっていたことに今更気づいた。
Announcement: Trilium transitions into maintenance mode · Issue #4620 · zadam/trilium Describe feature Hello, some of you might have noticed that the pace of development slowed down in the recent months. In short, my time priorities changed and I now have other things on which I wan... https://github.com/zadam/trilium/issues/4620プロジェクトはTriliumNextに引き継がれたようだ。

docker-compose.yml services: trilium: image: triliumnext/notes:latest restart: unless-stopped ports: - "3779:8080" volumes: - ./trilium-data:/home/node/trilium-data This morning I've finished to transcribe the #Comal 3.40 manual for #Amiga (originally provided as a plain text file) using #TriliumNotes .
As soon as I've finished with the internal links I will share it as downloadable:
- Trilium node
- HTML
- Markdown
I'll put it on my website and on @itchio .
Only basic HTML to allow #Amigans to browse it from their machines.
Comal is really nice, fully expandeble and filled with modern features for the time.
I see another project ahead!😁 :amiga:
it's only been a day so I can't comment on reliability, but for ease of getting #TriliumNext setup and moving, Pika Pods rocks!
Only took 10 minutes from first login and setup to fully mirrored from my #TriliumNotes server on another host.
I think I have a new web and #pkm home :-)
Hey #TriliumNext #TriliumNotes , let Piki Pod know Trilium Next is a desirable app for their platform at https://feedback.pikapods.com/posts/134/trilium-personal-knowledge-base
ok, it's done, a new #scrappyfiddle. I've unlashed the rope and cast my new-old website off into the deep waters:
https://maphew.trilium.cc/share/maphew.com
when SSL cert is sorted out this will answer the door at www.maphew.com.
for those that care about such things, it's authored in #TriliumNext desktop and hosted via #TriliumNotes
Oh heck. i knew Trilium went into maintenance mode earlier this year, and that bummed me out. But there's an officially blessed fork, already with half a dozen releases, code organization and library updates, and new features.
Note: Apple Silicon folks currently need to tell macOS it's cool with: xattr -c /Applications/TriliumNext\ Notes.app
https://learnhowtolearn.org/how-to-build-extremely-quickly/ looks like would dovetail nicely with #triliumnext #triliumnotes (or #obsidian and #logseq if that's your jam)
Time is hard 📅🕑
16 days ago I embarked on simple-to-state goal of "make imported notes Created date match source metadata instead of Imported date"
Last night I *may* have finally succeeded.
Is day-month-year or month-day-year? Dot or dash or slash or space separated? Is this a local time? Is it naive or is time zone known? Daylight savings? Did I just convert to UTC twice? Does destination not understand UTC and Zulu are same time? Is 5.333 secs same as 5.33333? 🤯🤪
+ Really like how internal links / transclusions / backlinks are handled & displayed
+ Notes Map (Graph) is so detailed. I like how hovering over the edge/line gives you a description of the connection.
+ Seems very feature-rich. I like how there are different note types and properties.
+ Love that it has a built-in Database Integrity Checker and Consistency Checker. Haven't tested their effectiveness, but I like that it's there.
+ Has Journals
+ Search looks pretty powerful

@itsfoss I was a bit disappointed with formats introduced by Logseq and Joplin, so I wanna give #TriliumNotes a try! Interface looks clean and fun to fiddle with so far. It has canvases, relations and even page blocks. Now, that should be interesting.
It is enough for me that Linux and Windows are supported. I wouldn't expect a FOSS app to have build for macOS. ;) On mobile, it seems that #Obsidian takes the lead, and I recall that it does not wrangle my files, with right settings.
