Immediately found some TINY snail shells! Arranged them into a triple spiral as a wee offering of gratitude for finding this peaceful, sacred wee place 🐌

A tiny, tiny, pale grey snail shell on my fingertip.

The base of a tree where thick branches have been cut back, the stumps of them are being slowly covered in moss.

Three tiny snail shells (including the one from the last picture) arranged close together on moss.

Snails are one of my totems at the moment...a symbol of neuroqueering, of introspection and emergence, of keeping on and easing my own way. I try and stop to admire and engage with snails and their shells whenever I see one!

Sometimes I design fabrics on Spoonflower; I enjoy the challenge of making a repeating design. So far, this one is my most successful: someone wallpapered a room in a version of it.

The morning glories swirl in a triskele or triskelion, an ancient spiral design. I love spirals, both in Celtic (and earlier) art and as found in nature. I'm learning that a lot of art I respond to has a strong underlying geometric structure, and am trying to incorporate that more into my own work.
