"In a manner of speaking" est un titre écrit par le groupe de post-punk américain #TuxedoMoon, sur leur album Holy Wars en 1985.

Il est repris par le groupe français #NouvelleVague sur leur premier album éponyme, en 2004 (avec la chanteuse Camille au chant, je crois bien).

Difficile de faire un grand écart plus important entre deux styles et ambiances !

I've always meant to see Preminger's "Bonjour Tristesse" since hearing Tuxedomoon's song of the same name. What an odd movie! Niven and Seberg are great as a spoiled vapid nouveau riche family. And, it includes a paraphrase of Baudelaires' "Be Always Drunken" prose poem in the script, recited by an appropriately drunk character. Nice use of color and black and white for contrast and dramatic effect, (the B&W sections are particularly beautiful).
