I worked in Education in Midlothian for many years and saw first-hand the child poverty that exists there.

Politics is about priorities as much as it is about cost. Consider #KeirStarmer's refusal to abolish the #TwoChildBenefitCap despite the overwhelming case against it.
Abolition would cost £1.3bn. The entirely unnecessary #Stonehenge road scheme was initially costed at £1.7bn. Who knows what it would cost now.
So if Starmer scrapped the Stonehenge scheme then his putative future government would be quids in.
Then there's, God forbid, taxing the wealthy. A Tory sin.

Some people are saying Keir Starmer has destroyed the Labour Party. No the Labour Party will survive, but it’ll survive as a right wing party (replacing the Tories, who will be destroyed). If you want a party that’ll offer the change this country needs you need to look elsewhere
