The #UKgov paid #AndrewMountbattenWindsor's hookers bill.

This is mostly being reported as an #Andrew story. But it's really a government story.

It seems that there was nobody in the UK government or civil service who was willing to insist that government does not pay for sexual services, and senior enough to not be overruled.

The buck stops somewhere. Police should now be investigating the government to find and charge whoever authorised the payment.

The breakdown of nature and ecosystems overseas threatens the UK's real national security. I've written to my MP asking the #UKGov to debate the new Nature Security Assessment and publish their response. Will you join me? action.zerohour.uk/nsa

@tony The #UKgov has only 2 possible levels of appeal:

1/ to the Court of Appeal (#EWCA)
2/ to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (#UKSC). The #HomeSecretary #ShabanaMahmood says she wants to appeal, but I dunno if leave to appeal has been granted.

Both levels of appeal would probably take ~18–24 months to get a final answer from UK courts.

However, if the UK courts back the govt, then #HudaAmmori could appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (#ECtHR). Probably another 2–3 years.

I beg you, blow #Palantir sky high somehow. Our idiot #government is in bed with them and wants to deploy digital #ID ... not to benefit the majority, and definitely not in our name.

Thanks to Starmer, Trump’s digital Trojan horse is hoovering up the private medical records of millions of people

Without a vote in Parliament, Starmer signed over £670 million in contracts to Palantir

We now know these “direct-award” contracts were shepherded by Mandelson

Mandelson’s own firm was paid by Palantir while he was fixing meetings for them in Washington

Suspend all Palantir contracts until Mandelson’s links are fully exposed.

@RichRARobi

Yes. Exactly. Spot on.

And it's because neither the #UKgov nor the #NHS has it's own #IT department — it's all outsourced to 'consultancy' firms.

I know individuals in a society shouldn't feel the bulk of responsibility for climate change, and changes to individual consumption have a limited impact, but I'd still like to inform how I live with easy to understand facts and evidence, and that feels like it's impossible to find (by design or otherwise) 3/3

Am I the only one who finds the data and evidence around greenhouse gas emissions from the UK government to be heavily focused on how we've reduced omissions since 1990 and much less focused on whether we're on track to hit our targets for 2050? 1/3

Whoever thought it would be a good idea to rely on a handful of companies from a single country to maintain the UK’s digital infrastructure?

Well, the government for one.

I'm sure it must be no coincidence that the constituencies that have the highest engagement are reform ones. If you haven't signed yet, please do - MPs need to represent the parties and policies that people voted for. At 80k signatures, this is nearly there! petition.parliament.uk/petitio
