Searchlight: **Tenconi’s sorry UKIP gang in west country fiasco**
https://searchlightmagazine.com/2026/01/tenconis-sorry-ukip-gang-in-west-country-fiasco/
Nick Tenconi and his goons travelled down to Exeter to meet up with the local far right today. The problem for Nick is that it doesn’t matter which direction he travels, he can’t manage to attract more than a handful of thugs to march behind his banner (and his new Iron Cross flag). At least […]

Errrrrr. It's not me is it?
This is properly worrying shit, no?
That said; it has taken the FediVerse and a second set of eyes to spot what Twitter and the newspapers missed last year. There was a second layer of symbology in Rump #UKIP's logo, spotted by @radiojammor .
Ukip's new logo definitely looks nothing like a Nazi symbol. Nope, not at all. Not even close.

@newsguyusa Not even trying to hide who they are, eh?

This is not satire. And that is the Iron Cross. #UKIP #UKpol
My guess is that one of the bumbling Rump #UKIP people had the idea that it would associate them with something bad, like knife crime.
Or perhaps someone told them that per #ElectoralCommission guidelines it shouldn't mislead Rump UKIP voters into thinking that the ballot already has a cross next to their party.

The slogan is somewhat older.
Rump #UKIP, drawing the attention of pretty much no-one apart from someone uploading to Wikimedia Commons, re-branded to the part with the slogan a year or so beforehand.

The #IronCross (with sword, spear, and shield) part is the new bit that was spotted in 2025.
Cynically put: Rump UKIP ditching the #pound didn't get them into the headlines, but adding an Iron Cross did. Twice.
Apparently, a journalist has just noticed and publicized a re-branding that was noticed by other journalists back in October 2025.
Both times, it seems that no-one has highlighted the irony of #UKIP ditching the #pound.
This is the rump UKIP, by the way, left behind after the original UKIP morphed into the Brexit Party, and thence #ReformUKLtd.
Think of it as the nationalist extremists's version of 'The Real Labour Party' and suchlike that you find on ballot forms.
When the Reform Party peeled off to become a new, improved Farage vanity project filled with failed Tories it left behind a UKIP wondering what its post-Farage identity might be. Whilst the direction it chose to take was sadly predictable the blunt honesty comes as a surprise.

M. Cadwalladr is behind the times. This broke in (amongst other places) the London Economic back in October of last year.
