The #UKSC ruled that #Trans people are the sex they were identified as at birth based on the Equality Act 2010

They also suggested amending the Equality Act would be difficult

What would be the effect of deleting or amending the Gender Recognition Act 2004 Section 9(3) ?

To me it looks like this'd return #Trans people to the state they were in before the #UKSC ruling

Over 350 academic historians have signed an open letter condemning “attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community” from the Labour government.
Published on Friday (2 May), the open letter expresses significant concerns over the government’s treatment of trans issues following a UK Supreme Court ruling which excludes #trans people from the legal definitions of women and sex in the 2010 Equality Act.

I never doubted that British #transphobes were primarily driven by a desire to control the lives of #trans people. Exploiting the fears of cis women was only a means to that end.

But it's helpful to see it confirmed here in writing by Sex Matters, along with other anti-trans #astroTERFs. Their pitch to Wes Streeting is simple: the #UKSC has made trans lives unliveable, so you should ensure that they are not lived.

It's looking increasingly like last week's appalling #UKSupremeCourt judgment might be challenged in the courts. I'm not sure how a lower court can overturn a UKSC judgment however if the challenge is upheld then surely must pave the way for further case reviews.

#UKSC has handed down several appalling judgments in recent years.

Judgmentalism rather than justice.

From recollection, the #UKSupremeCourt had quite spacious Universal Toilets. I was safer in there than in the hostile courtroom. If latest case is a watershed then other recent #UKSC rulings must be reviewed. Judgementalism rather than #justice was served in my legitimate case.
