So. Starmer gets into power and pulls a lever called "do stuff" this makes him wildly unpopular and he does terribly in the local elections.
His answer .... is to pull harder on the leaver and do the stuff that makes him unpopular more.
Is he even trying?
Really, the populist right *should* be in disarray. People around the world should be looking at the US and going, fuck no, we want fucking none of that.
But that didn’t happen last time, and it seems that it’s only tariffs and actual threats of invasion that affect people’s views.
And from the council elections, it’s not happening in the UK either. But then, Starmer and Reeves are doing such an excellent job of showing how centrism is needlessly cold gruel that everyone hates.

I presume that the Reform Party will be raising urban speed limits to 60 mph because that is the best way to boost air pollution and kill children.

Our local council has switched to Lib Dem control (good) but our ward (local area) now has one of the swivel-eyed-loonies from reform which is disappointing. Not that I expect them do anything but make noise
The national result of reform gains is scary because so many people seem happy to vote far right
